Collect and Distribute Logs and Configuration Files

The Send Logs & Configuration option allows you to gather, consolidate, and compress Web Server and Engine logs and configuration files for analysis and distribution via email, FTP, or local PC. This feature also allows gathering of logs for child processes (dependent logs), for example, if MsgService log is selected, the mqsplugin, emailplugin, dbplugin, xmlplugin, and ftpplugin child logs will also be collected. You can change the time/date interval for gathering the logs as needed for better real time information. You can also include and distribute query reports along with logs and configuration files.

Log files distributed via email must be less than 20MB.

The Send Logs & Configuration option provided better and faster issue resolution as follows:

  • Step by step application is easy to use to gather and deliver log files.

  • No need to involve users with administrative Web Server and Application Server permissions.

  • Standard naming convention is enforced to eliminate confusion as to which logs to collect.

  • Search feature is included to enable collection of previous day's logs and logs stored in backup folders.

  • Dependent selection option is included to collect logs for child processes.
