Set Up Peer Group Entity
You can set up a Peer Group entity in Portfolio Data Center.
Create Peer Group Field Attribute
When you select the Peer Group policy to create the Peer Group entity, the entity type is automatically set to "Peer". A PEER entity type creates a value of PEER as RULES.Entity.Entity_TYPE in the database.Â
To create a Peer Group Field Attribute:
From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.
Enter Portfolio Data Center in the Start Search text box and click the Portfolio Data Center link. Or, click All Programs and select Portfolio Data Center.
You see the Portfolio Data Center opens with the Portfolio Desk workspace as default.In Portfolio Data Center, from the left navigation, select Portfolio Desk > All.Â
On the Home tab, in the Manage group, click Create New.
You see the Create New dialog box.ÂIn the Select Policy list, select a policy for the Peer Group entity you want to create.Â
By default, you see the available lists of predefined policies. Note: You need to select a policy, wherein the policy type matches the entity type you want to create.Click OK.
You see the Details page displaying the selected policy's field groups.Provide appropriate information for each field, as needed.
Click Save to save the entity.

Fund - Peer Group Association
Funds are linked to one or more peer groups. There is a primary association, and there may also be alternative associations based upon alternative grouping criteria. You set up these associations on the Peer Group Association tab on the Create/Edit Portfolio wizard. This tab contains a Peer Group Definitions column which has Primary Peer Group, Secondary Peer Group, and so on, as created as code values for code IPEERDEF.
To associate a Peer Group to a Portfolio entity:
In Portfolio Data Center, from the left navigation, select Portfolio Desk > All.
Create a new Peer Group entity, or select an existing Peer Group entity to edit.
You see the Create/Edit Peer Group wizard.Select the Peer Group Association tab.
Select values for Peer Group Definitions and enter a Primary Peer Group and a Secondary Peer Group.
This creates the List Order values in RULES.ENTITY_DETAIL for that entity for the Peer Group Entity association.Click OK to save your changes.
