Book Capital Stock when Using Intraday NAV Processing
You can use capital stock processing to book capital stock for intraday NAV sequences. The dilution calculated for an intraday capital stock transaction is based on the prior sequence NAV/share rather than the prior accounting date NAV/share.
When you book capital stock for an intraday fund, the Book Capital Stock panel and the Book Non Base Capital Stock panel require you to enter a NAV sequence. The lookups in the panel bring back the previous NAV sequence total net assets, shares outstanding, and NAV/share as opposed to the prior accounting date total net assets, shares outstanding, and NAV/share. The dilution amount for the intraday capital stock transaction is calculated based off of the prior NAV sequence NAV/share.
The capital stock message streams allow you to enter a NAV sequence on the message stream so that capital stock processing can remain an automated process for intraday NAV election funds.
To review capital stock booked by NAV sequence, you can use the Intraday Shareholder Activity report.
