Schedule a Processing Rule in Automation Center
To schedule a processing rule in Automation Center, you must first create an entry profile. After creating the profile, you then define an event to schedule it.
This procedure uses the Open panel feature to manually select the panel to be used in creating an event. You can open a panel in Web Panel Designer, Accounting Center, and Portfolio Data Center. For this example, Open panel has been accessed via Portfolio Data Center (PDC).
Navigate to Open Panel.
The Open panel displays.Search for the applyexceptionrule panel. The panel can be found under eagle/star/admin.
The full panel path is : /eagle/star/admin/pan-applyexceptionrule.htm. Double click on pan_applyexceptionrule.htm to open.
The panel displays.Review the previously created archive processing rule.
Under Option for Running Rule, in the Apply Rule for field, select All Rejections. This is the recommended option when you run an archive, but you can select from other options available in the dropdown. If you have multiple partitions, you can select them in the Partition dropdown.Â
On the toolbar, click Save Profile As and then enter a Profile Name.
Check the publish this profile to all users if you want this profile visible to all users.
Click Save.
You see a confirmation message indicating that the profile has been successfully saved.
Create an EventÂ
After you create the profile, you need to create a new Accounting Event Manager event.
To create a new event:
Navigate to Automation Center and create a new Accounting Event Manager event. See Create and Edit an Accounting Event Manager Event
In the Event tab, select Profile Group and then click Add.
You see the Profile Group tab.Click on the grid and then click Refresh to ensure that the newly added profile displays in the grid.
Next, click Find and enter the profile name you created. Once the profile displays in the grid, click the corresponding checkbox to select the profile.
Click Next and choose a Default Result Profile.
Click Save.
Continue defining an Accounting Event Manager event. Click Next in the Accounting Event Manager wizard until you see an option to Save & Schedule.
Click on Save & Schedule . You can schedule the event to run weekly, monthly, or daily at a set time of day.
Test the Processing RuleÂ
You can test the newly created processing rule in one of two ways: by testing the processing rule or submitting an event and checking its report.Â
To test the processing rule:Â
To test the Processing Rule to see how many records will be archived, navigate to the Processing Rule screen Automation Desk by clicking Rules and selecting View.
From the list that displays, select the rule and then right-click and select Edit.
You see the Edit Processing Rules screen.Click Test.
Alternatively, you can submit an event and check its report.
