Examples - Cash Object
In the following Cash object example, after you select an asset and select the Cash Position - Asset Currency option, there are two cash lots for the selected position. They have a status of TRADED. Once these two trades are settled, the Cash object displays additional rows with a Status column value of SETTLED. As with the Cost object, several tabs display data if there is particular activity available. For example, the Cancel Receipts tab is blank if there are no cancelled receipts for the position. The following figure shows the Cash object with rows that have a status of both TRADED and SETTLED.
The Position Viewer functions differently for CASH securities than it does for other security types. There is no Cost object data for CASH. For example, when you select the US Dollar position, the Cost object is empty, but the position data in the upper pane displays a TRADED cash balance. See the following figure.
When you select the Cash object for the US Dollar position, there is detail for receipts of TRADED Cash.
Upon settlement of the contribution, a SETTLED row is displayed in the Cash object for the US Dollar position.Â
