About Position Queries

The Position Viewer is a query tool that allows accounting operations teams and other Eagle Accounting users to quickly query and research accounting data. Due to the volume of data that the queries return, Position Viewer is broken out into several position research queries. The Position Viewer tool displays the Cost/Cash/Income Positions query, which allows you to locate most information, by default. You can select the additional queries from Additional Reports in the ribbon.

Cost/Cash/Income Positions	This query is available by default in the Position Viewer workspace. Allows you to search and review current position data in the ESTAR database and archive cost BLOB. Provides several options to search position data and allows searching for data that pertains to the current entity. Search types include: All Portfolios One Portfolio One Portfolio One Security One Custodian Bank All Custodial Banks - One Security	Shows the accounting data for three areas. Cost object (MTSTMT/Q_POSITION) Cash object (MTSTMT/Q_HISTORY_CASH) Income activity table (MTQUERY/Q_HISTORY_INCOME)
Cash Position - Different Settlement Currency	Allows you to view cash movements that settle in a different currency than the asset’s local currency. These cash movements are not displayed in the main cash query. Ledger Reports	Allows you to search and review ledger balances and activity for trial balances, financial statements, and ledger balances. Wash Sale Adjustments	Displays close lot and open lot adjustments to audit open adjustment and close adjustment rows reflecting the incremental transfer of a loss, as well as the adjustment of the wash sale's eligible quantity. Information appears for the Wash Sale Adjustments object query only if you use the ESTAR tables to store wash sales adjustment information by converting the wash sales adjustments using the Convert Wash Sale Adjustments panel. Otherwise, if you do not convert wash sale adjustments, you can view wash sales information in the adjustment tabs displayed for the Cost object by default.	Wash sale adjustments (MTQUERY: WASHSALES)

PACE as of Position - Price Preview	Allows you to search and review current as of position price data in the Eagle data warehouse. You can search data for the current entity or entity/security combination. PACE as of Position (one portfolio all securities)	Allows you to search and review current as-of position data in the Eagle data warehouse. You can search data for the current entity and accounting basis.	Queries PACE position tables (MTQUERY/SP_POSITION_QUERY_ENT)

Interest Receivable/Payable	Allows you to search and review receivable/payable information. Query options include Entity and Report Type (Accounting Date, Posting Date, Trade Date, and Contractual Settlement Date).	Queries accounting income data for a date (MTSTMT/Q_INCOME_POSITION_ASOF)
Dividend Income/Expense	Allows you to search and review dividend-related data in the database. You can search for data by the current Entity, Account Basis, All or Individual Securities, and Report Type (Accounting Date, Posting Date, Trade Date, and Contractual Settlement Date). Other Income/Expense	Allows you to search and review other income/expense data in the database. You can query data for the current Entity, Account Basis, Transaction Status (Traded or Settled), and Report Type (Accounting Date, Posting Date, Trade Date, and Contractual Settlement Date).
