About Qualifying Entities to Process in Batch or Delta Mode
When you use the STAR to PACE Batch or Delta modes, you can qualify, or restrict, the entities that process by identifying the entity and by specifying additional fields from the Entity Parameter section of the Transfer Data - Batch panel and the Transfer Data - Delta panel.
The following are examples of data transfers that occur during S2P when you specify different combinations of entity-related parameters. The parameters on the Delta and Batch panels include:
Entity ID/Entity Name. When you specify an Entity ID and/or Entity Name, STAR to PACE processing treats this as a unique election, called Entity. Entering the value for one field on the panel automatically populates the other field on the panel, because they represent the same entity and may not contradict.
Process Center.
Conversion Status.
Sample Criteria
In this example, you assume that you can specify value for these situations:
All three criteria. The system sends to Eagle PACE only those entities that match all three criteria.
Two of the three criteria. The system sends to Eagle PACE only those entities that match the two criteria.
One of the three criteria. The system sends to Eagle PACE only those entities that match the single criterion.
Sample Entities
The following is a list of sample entities, showing their entity id, process center, and conversion status values.
Entity | Process Center | Conversion Status |
---|---|---|
ABC | BOS | L |
XYZ | LA | L |
123 | LA | null |
Data Transfer Outcomes
The following table shows hypothetical outcomes, for several combinations of parameters.
Criteria | Data Transfer Outcome |
---|---|
Process Center of BOS | Only data for entity ABC is copied to Eagle PACE |
Conversion Status of L | Data for Entities ABC and XYZ is copied to Eagle PACE |
Process Center of LA and a Conversion Status of L | Only data for entity XYZ is copied to Eagle PACE |
Process Center of LA and an Entity of 123 | Only data for entity 123 is copied to Eagle PACE |
