Add Security Positions

To add a security position:

  1. Open the Performance Calculation report and expand it to the security level

  2. Select a security level row.

  3. Choose the Maintain data icon and select the Add Security Position option.
    The Position Maintenance dialog box appears. See the following figure.

    The entity is populated automatically. If the source is not populated, choose the original accounting source. The Effective Date defaults to the end effective date of the report. This date can be changed.

  4. Select the security that you want to add to the fund for the effective date, and then choose the Save button.

  5. Populate the other fields as required and click the Save button.
    This stores the added security information in a temporary table. The data has not yet been added to the HOLDING database.

  6. Select the option Save Position Securities.
    This option saves the changes to the position database.

  7. Rerun the report to recalculate the returns using the adjusted positions.
