Set Up Performance Toolkit Sleeves

After you install the Performance Toolkit, you can set up the individual Performance sleeves that you plan to use with the Toolkit components.

To set up Performance Toolkit sleeves:

1. Identify the Performance sleeves that you plan to use with Toolkit components. For example, if you plan to use:
   Portfolio Performance, you can perform the tasks described in the Index Toolkit, Calculation Toolkit, Reporting Toolkit, and Attribution Toolkit sections.
   GIPS Composite Management, you can perform the tasks in the Index Toolkit and GIPS Toolkit sections.
   Retail Fund Performance, see the Retail Fund Toolkit section for further instructions.

2. Identify the order in which you plan to set up the sleeves, and set up each sleeve, using the instructions in the Setup and Operations section of the chapter that corresponds to that sleeve.

We recommend that you set up Toolkit sleeves in the following order:

1. Index Toolkit

2. Calculation Toolkit

3. Reporting Toolkit

4. Attribution Toolkit

5. GIPS Toolkit

6. Retail Fund Toolkit

7. Data Quality Monitor Toolkit

Because the Attribution and GIPS toolkits rely on information made available during setup of the Reporting Toolkit, you set up the Reporting Toolkit first. You can omit the setup for sleeves that you do not use.

After you set up the baseline Performance Toolkit and sleeves, you can set up additional customizations that your organization requires.
