Manage Feed Types
In the Sources workspace, you can also add and edit feed types.
Each source can have multiple data subject areas, data types, associated with it. These are referred to as Feed Types. For example, if Bloomberg is to supply securities, prices, and ratings information to the database, then the Feed Types of securities, price, and ratings must be set up in the system. Feed types are only available for use with uploaders and exporters.

Create Feed Types
In the Sources workspace, you can create data feed types to use with the data sources.Â
To create new feed types:
In the Setup workspace, in the left navigation, click Setup > Sources.
You see the Sources workspace with the available list of data sources.Under Views, select the Feed Types tab.
You see the Sources workspace is populated with the available list of feed types.On the Home tab, click Create New list and select Feed Type.
You see the Create New Feed Type dialog box.Type the short name of the feed type in the Feed Type box.
This field allows you to enter not more than 3 characters. This name is reflected in the Uploader or Exporter schema, and is also used in the system processes.ÂType the long name of the feed in the Feed Name box.
Click Add.
You see the added Feed Type and Feed Name are listed in the below grid.Repeat this step to add more Feed Types.
Click Cancel to close the dialog box and return to the Sources workspace.
Click Save All to save the Feed Types.
The system creates the feed types and lists it in the workspace.Â
Edit Feed Types
In the Sources workspace, you can view and edit the feed types.
To edit the feed types:
From the left navigation, click Setup > Sources.
You see the Sources workspace with the available list of data sources.Under Views, select Feed Types tab.
Select the feed type you want to edit and click Edit in the Home tab.
You see the Edit Feed Type dialog box.Review the information, make the appropriate changes, and click Save.
You see the refreshed list of all the available feed types.
Delete Option is disabled for Feed Types.
