You must complete the following procedure to retain the changes you made using the F12 key in your browser.

To retain your changes:

  1. Locate the Portfolios and TabbedMenu.css file in the <Portal install directory>\Web\App_themes\ and make the changes there.

  2. Locate web.config in <Portal install directory>\Web\.

  3. Open the file in a text editor and search for pages theme=”Default”.

  4. Change the value from Default to the new theme’s name. For example, the name for the new theme is ABC (name of the company). Change pages theme=”Default” to pages theme=”ABC”.
    This reference informs Portal to use the newly created theme instead of the out of the box Default theme. You can always refer back to the Default theme for comparing the original to the customized version. You can use the new theme across all regions by copying the new theme to <Portal install directory>\Web/App_themes\ and updating the corresponding web.config file.
