Delete Fund of Funds Targets

In the Delete Fund of Funds Target panel, you can delete a set of fund of funds targets for a top-level fund that uses the fund of funds cash allocation process. When you delete fund of fund targets, you cannot delete the target for a single underlying fund/security, but must delete the set of targets for the top-level fund's underlying funds/securities. When you need to make a permanent change to targets for a top-level fund, you can delete the current set of targets, and can then re-create a new set of targets for the top-level fund that sum to a value of 1.0, for 100 percent. However, if you are making a temporary change to the target for an underlying fund, you can edit the target using the Edit Fund of Funds Target option. 

For example, you can use the Delete Fund of Funds Target panel if you want to completely exclude an underlying fund from the fund of funds cash allocation process. In this scenario, you delete all the current fund of funds targets for the top-level fund. Then you re-add the new target percentages for the top-level fund by using the Create Fund of Funds Targets panel. 

To delete fund of funds targets: 

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup > Fund Accounting > Fund of Funds > Delete Fund of Funds Target.
    You see the Edit Fund of Funds Target panel.

  2. In the Entity ID and Entity Name fields, specify the unique identifier or name of the master fund, or top-level fund, associated with the targets you want to delete.

  3. In the Start Date and End Date fields, specify the beginning and ending dates for the target rates you want to delete.
    You do not have to specify an end date.

  4. Click Submit.
    You see a row for each underlying fund/security that currently has fund of funds targets for the selected entity that meet your criteria in the Show All tab. 

  5. Click Delete Fund of Fund Targets.
    In the Delete FOF Targets grid, you see a row for each fund of funds target for the selected top-level entity that met your criteria.

  6. Review the set of fund of funds targets to ensure you want to delete it. 
    All fields that describe the fund of funds targets are locked, and you cannot change them. 

  7. Click Submit. 
    The system deletes the set of fund of funds targets for the top-level fund.
