Manage Term Loans
This article assumes you are familiar with the entity elections that have been made for processing term loans.
Add Term Loan Facilities
To manually add a term loan facility:
- From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.
- Enter Issue Viewer in the Start Search text box.
- Click the Issue Viewer link to access the tool.
You see the Issue Viewer tool. - Click Add.
- Click Fixed Income/Term Loans.
You see the Fixed Income/Term Loans panel. - Complete the options on the Term Loans panel.
The following fields are required to set up a term loan: Issue Date, Issue Price, Maturity Date, and Maturity Price fields for the facility level security. Be sure to set the Processing Security Type field to DBAMTL, and set the Trading Flat field to Yes. - Click Submit.
Add Term Loan Contracts
Term loan contracts are used by the system to define multiple interest streams that make up a term loan facility. Contracts can have a fixed or variable rate.
To manually add a term loan contract:
- From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.
- Enter Issue Viewer in the Start Search text box.
- Click the Issue Viewer link to access the tool.
- Click Add.
- Click Fixed Income/Term Loans.
You see the Term Loans panel. - Complete the options on the Term Loans panel.
The panel requires you to define all interest related fields, such as Coupon Type, Day Count Basis, Issue Date, Dated Date, First and Last Coupon Dates, and Maturity Date, as well as the Issue Price and Maturity Price fields. Be sure to set the Processing Security Type field to DBIBTL, and set the Trading Flat field to Yes. - Click Submit.
Change Term Loan Facilities
Some fields are locked when there is an existing position on the security. This is because a change would impact the existing position. These fields include Asset Currency, Dual Currency Indicator, Investment Type, Processing Security Type, Quantity Type, Price Multiplier, and Quantity Scale. Other fields are locked so they cannot be changed. See the About Locked Security Master Record Fields page for more information.
If you need to change a security master record, Eagle recommends canceling the security, making changes to the security master record, and rebooking the security.

Change Term Loan Contracts
