Create Investment Disclosure Data
You can use the Create Investment Disclosure Data panel to assign investment disclosure information for designated positions in an entity.
To create investment disclosure information for securities in an entity:
In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup > Insurance > Investment Disclosures > Create Investment Disclosures.
You see the Create Investment Disclosures panel.Complete the options on the panel for the specific Entity and Asset.
You identify the lot position by the open_event_id that corresponds to the trade. Once entered, all Open Event IDs for the selected Entity/Asset combination appear, including the As of Quantity and any Quantity already assigned Investment Disclosure Information for the selected lot.Select the lot and enter the Investment Disclosure designation, the Start Date, End Date, and Units.
The End Date is not required when you create the record. The Start and End Dates dictate the time frame for which the designation is displayed on the Schedules.In the Investment Disclosure Type list, enter any Investment Disclosure Info.
Options include:
- Clear.
- Collateral. For more information, see About Securities Lending Collateral (Schedule DL – Parts 1 and 2) and Pledge Derivatives Collateral (Schedule DB- Part D – Sections 1 & 2).
- FHLB Capital Stock.
- Loaned or Leased.
- Multiple.
- Option Agreement.
- Other.
- Put Option Agreement.
- Pledged as Collateral to FHLB.
- Repurchase Agreement.
- Reverse Repurchase Agreement.
- Restricted.
- Special Deposit. For more information, see About Special Deposits (Schedule E – Part 3).
- $$ Repurchase Agreement.
- $$ Reverse Repurchase Agreement.Click Submit to assign the investment disclosure information.
Based on the elections made, the Investment Disclosure Designation appears in the Code column on Schedule D1, Schedule DA1, Schedule D21, and Schedule D22.
If a position for a security has multiple, different designations, the quantity assigned to each designation appears as a separate line on the Schedule, with all related financial data prorated accordingly. Any shares not assigned a designation also appear as a separate line on the appropriate Schedule.
