Understand Reference Data Center (RDC) Roles and Permissions

Reference Data Center follows Role-based Access Control approach, that is the application access is restricted only to the authorized users. In RDC, the role assigned to your User ID controls the actions you can perform. System Administrators are responsible for managing RDC user roles and permissions. The system administrator sets these access controls in User Administration by associating permissions with employee roles. Following are the four roles associated with Reference Data Center:

RDC Administrator

Provides full permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center.

RDC Manager Role

Provides nearly full permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts the maintenance of system settings.

RDC Analyst Role

Provides analyst specific permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts maintenance of information and security detail authorization.

RDC End User Role

Provides view-only permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts security data manipulation.

RDC Accounting/Performance Role

Provides view-only permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts security data manipulation.
