The Eagle's Purge and Archive System supports archiving of Data Mart tables. Your only archive related task in Data Mart is to manage the names of these archive tables, if you choose to do so.

If you decide to make it a regular practice to move older Data Mart data to archival tables (as opposed to just purging the data), you may want to use your ability to name these tables to include the date, perhaps including the year, in heir names. Using as an example the Fund Summary table, during 2012 you might rename its archive tables, from:

FUND_SUMMARY_AV
to
FUND_SUMMARY_2012_AV.

Your schedule archive events direct archived data to a table with this name. Then at the end of 2012, you can reset archive table names from 2012 to 2013 for the coming year.Â
