About Message Streams to Load Data

You must determine the message streams to use for loading positions, ledger balances, and lots to the Eagle data warehouse. You can also load positions to work tables for local reconciliation.

There are several message streams available to load positions, ledger balances, and lots for each type of record, depending on the location of your data.

Eagle Data Warehouse Load Streams

Eagle data warehouse positions, ledger balances, and lots for a custodian source are matched to the data warehouse for source STARDIRECT or to the warehouse positions for a second custodian. Data warehouse records act as both a left side match and a right side match.

Custodian Positions Work Table Load Streams

Custodian data is typically sent as sequential files in character-delimited, fixed, or SWIFT format. Sequential position files are remapped and loaded to the Message Center database POSITIONS_CUST work tables, for a given custodian source and business date.

For fixed width or SWIFT formats, custom streams can be configured based on vendor interface requirements and sample data.

Eagle Accounting Positions Work Table Load Streams

Eagle Accounting positions information is loaded to the Message Center database POSITIONS work tables. Eagle Accounting positions data may be more current than the Eagle data warehouse positions which depend on the scheduling of STAR to PACE Direct. You can invoke the load stream using the Refresh STAR Positions menu option from the Position Recon console.

If you need to load the local Message Center work tables with STARDIRECT positions for a left side match, use the default streams shown below, invoked from the console via the Refresh PACE Positions menu option.

The getentitypacepositions.xml rule uses the Position Table Query report panel to obtain warehouse positions data for a given source and position effective date.
