Create Footnote Hedge Codes

In the Create Footnote Hedge Code panel, you can create the dynamic list values used in the Create DB Hedge Description panel. With this panel, you can create hedge codes that use one of two footnote categories, A or B, such that:

• Footnote A creates values which support Types of Risks (tag 8804) set to Other in the Create DB Hedge Description panel. You can choose a value from A to Z.

• Footnote B creates values which support the Hedge Footnote field (tag 1021) in the Create DB Hedge Description panel. That is, you can associate a hedge code footnote value from 0001 to 0100 with a specified SVO Company Code, and provide a description for that grouping This allows you to choose that grouping as an entry in the Hedge Footnote field (tag 1021) in the Create DB Hedge Description panel.

The information you enter for either footnote type needs to be classified by SVO Company Code. Additional panels are available to Edit, Delete, and List footnote hedge code information.

To create a footnote hedge code:

1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup > Insurance > Schedule DB Hedge Reporting > Create Footnote Hedge Code.
   You see the Create Footnote Hedge Code panel.

2. In the Footnote Flag list, click the footnote category for the footnote hedge code.
   Options include:
   - A. Allows you to choose a value from A to Z which supports Types of Risks (tag 8804) set to Other in the Create DB Hedge Description panel.
   - B. Allows you to choose a value from 0001 to 0100 which supports the Hedge Footnote field (tag 1021) in the Create DB Hedge Description panel.
   Additional options appear based on your selection.

3. In the SVO Company Code box, select a value.

4. In the Hedge Code Description box, you can enter a description for the footnote hedge code.

5. If you set Footnote Flag to A, select a value in the Hedge Code Footnote A list.
   You can choose a value from A to Z.

6. If you set Footnote Flag to B, select a value in the Hedge Code Footnote B list.
   You can choose a value from 0001 to 0100.

7. Click Submit.
