In Eagle Accounting, an entity is another name for a portfolio. An entity identifies a collection of investments owned by the same individual, corporation, partnership, or trust. An entity tracks trade activity and maintains account positions, as well as all income and expenses. Entities used with Eagle's accounting solutions require specialized settings that indicate desired accounting behavior. For convenience and ease of use, both Portfolio Data Center (PDC) and Accounting Center allow you to access the entry panels used to set up and maintain portfolios and portfolio rules for use with Eagle Accounting.
