Sell or Buy Matching Logic

The time frame of data that is assessed for wash sales processing spans multiple monthly reporting periods and requires information for one monthly period in the future.

The Quarterly or Annual process can be initiated at any time; however, only information that is in the Lot Activity table at the time of execution is used in the evaluation. The process can only be run for the first, second, third or fourth quarter of a year, or for an annual period, and can be run with incomplete activity data. As example, if the warehouse has been refreshed through 7/31/2011, the Annual process can be run for the year 2011, and all sales from January 1 through July 31, and all buys from December 2 of the prior year through July 31 of the current year are included in the evaluation.
