View Legal Entity Relationships in Relationship Viewer

In RDC, you can view many different kinds of information about Legal Entities in one area. One of the types of information that you can view is Legal Entity Relationships (Parent-to-child relationships).  In the main relationship tab, you can only see one layer of this relationship – the first level, between the given Legal Entity and its parent.  In the Relationship Viewer screen you can view more detailed information about more levels of relationships.

To open the Relationship Viewer Screen:

  1. In the Reference Desk workspace, in the left navigation pane, click Legal Entities.
You see the Legal Entities workspace with all the available legal entities.

  2. Complete the required search criteria and click Search.
You see the search results based on the criteria you selected.

  3. Select the legal entity to you want to view and double-click the record to open it.

  4. To see relationship information, click the Relationship tab.
You see information displayed about other legal entities the legal entity has a direct child-to-parent relationship with.

  5. To view additional detailed information, click on Open Relationship Viewer.
The screen refreshes and displays all available layers, from the given legal entity up to its ultimate parent, as well as any children and grandchildren of the given legal entity.

  6. To view more information about other legal entities in this view, right click any record and select View Relationships.
A new breadcrumb arrow will appear for the new legal entity and the screen will refresh with the new legal entities detailed information. You can return to the original information by selecting the leftmost breadcrumb arrow.

  7. Click Close Relationships Viewer to close the screen.

Note that using this screen requires you to be using the Issuer Relationship Builder Engine.   Data in the Relationship Viewer screen is based on the flattened Legal Entity relationship data created by running Issuer Relationship Builder events in Automation Center.
