Maintain Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Data

Environmental, social and governance (ESG), refers to the three central factors in measuring the sustainability and ethical impact of an investment in a company or business. In the Legal Entity workspace, you can create and edit environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information pertaining to a legal entity.

Create ESG Data

You can create ESG data in the Create New panel. 

To create ESG data:

  1. In the Reference Desk workspace, in the left navigation pane, click Legal Entities  and then click Legal Entities >ESG Create ESG.
    You see the Create ESG panel.

  2. From the drop-down, select the Source Name.

  3. From the drop-down, select the Issuer ID.

  4. Enter the Effective Date.

  5. Complete the remaining fields, as needed.
    NOTE: You can hover over a field to view information about the field, such as the internal field ID and code instance, the database table and column names, the field and data types, and whether overriding the field requires authorization.

  6. Click Submit.
    You see the Status Window with the per row status information.

  7. Click Ok and then click Cancel to return to the Reference Desk workspace.

Edit ESG Data

You can edit existing ESG data in the Edit ESG panel.

To edit ESG:

  1. From the Reference Desk workspace, click Legal Entities in the left navigation and then click Legal Entities >ESG> Edit ESG.
    You see the Edit ESG panel.

  2. In the Source Name drop-down, select the source.

  3. Optionally, select an Issuer ID or Issuer Name from the drop-down.

  4. Enter the Start Date and End Date.

  5. In the Results Option pane, select how you would like the results to display.

  6. Click Submit.
    You see the results window.

  7. Edit the ESG data as desired and click Submit.

  8. Click Ok to close the window and return to the Reference Desk workspace.

List ESG

You can list ESG data in the List ESG panel.

To list ESG:

  1. From the Reference Desk workspace, click Legal Entities in the left navigation and then click Legal Entities >ESG >List ESG.
    You see the Edit ESG panel.

  2. In the Source Name drop-down, select the source.

  3. Optionally, select an Issuer ID or Issuer Name from the drop-down.

  4. Enter the Start Date and End Date.

  5. In the Results Option pane, select how you would like the results to display.

  6. Click Submit.
    You see the results window.

  7. Click Ok to close the window and return to the Reference Desk workspace.
