Data Quality Monitor: General Setup

You can set up the Data Quality Monitor Toolkit after you migrate the packaged content using Migration Wizard. Please note that you must use the Automation Center with integrated scheduler.

To set up the Data Quality Monitor Toolkit:

  1. Data Load Configuration. Configure upstream systems to provide the data defined in the Toolkit Generic Interfaces sections.

  2. Create an Entity LIST. If you have not done so already, create a LIST entity to manage the Data Quality Monitor. The LIST entities can be dynamic or static.

  3. Assign the Entity LIST to the Data Quality Monitor Rule. Go to Performance Center, Setup, Data Quality Rules, and assign the LIST to the Data Quality Rule.

  4. Enable the Data Quality Monitor Rule. Go to Performance Center, Setup, Data Quality Rules, and check the box to enable the Data Quality Rule.

  5. Calculation Report Configuration. If you are using the Calculation Status validation rules from the packaged content then go to the OLAP calculation report and assign the LIST to the report profile.

  6. Create Commit Journal Views. The Commit Journal helps you to monitor your Performance data. You can create Commit Journal views to review calculations.

  7. Create a Data Quality Monitor Event in Automation Center.

  8. Add the Data Quality Monitor Event to a Workflow or create a new Workflow. Use Process Manager to create the workflow or add to an existing workflow.

  9. Schedule the Workflow. If you previously set up other toolkits, you created an event package that includes workflows for calculating and committing returns, and creating performance data in Data Mart. In that case, edit the event package to add the Data Quality Monitor workflow to the Event Package Options page. When you add the workflow, you can define the Group Run Order column to run the workflow before the calculation workflows and prior to running any Data Mart (DM) workflows.
