Create Sink Schedule Corporate Action Announcements
In the Create Sink Schedule panel, you can create a mandatory announcement for a Sink Schedule type corporate action. You can create the announcement in the Corporate Action table when you first set up the security, or the system can create the announcement for you when you use the Add Schedule dialog box to create a sink schedule in the Schedule table.
The Create Sink Schedule panel does not allow you to manually add a corporate action announcement associated with a custom sink schedule. The system creates those announcements for you in the Corporate Action table when it creates the custom sink schedule in the Schedule table. To add a sink schedule corporate action announcement manually:
In Reference Data Center, in the left navigation pane, click Reference Desk > Corporate Actions > Announcements > Create Sink Schedule.
You see the Create Sink Schedule panel.Complete the options on the Create Sink Schedule panel.
Click Submit.
The system adds the corporate action to the Corporate Action table. It has a transaction type of PMT and a Reason of SINK SCHEDULE or SINKING FUND, depending on whether you created it using a schedule. You can change a corporate action announcement if it does not have a Released status.If you added a mandatory corporate action announcement, you can set up a mandatory corporate action exclusion to prevent the system from processing a mandatory corporate action for a certain entity.
