You can create and manage restart schedules and then assign these schedules to individual Eagle engines. Schedules can be set up to recycle (stop and start) services at a specific date and time and at specific frequency such as weekly or daily.

To manage restart schedules:

  1. In System Management Center, click System Settings in the left navigation and then click Restart Schedules.
    You see the Restart Schedules workspace.
  2. To add a new schedule, right click in the Restart Schedules pane and select New.
  3. In the Define dialog box, enter the schedule name and description. In this example, the schedule name is Weekly Scheduled Restart. Click the Enable Schedule to Run checkbox to enable the schedule, it is disabled by default. Click Next.
  4. In the Time dialog box, select the time and the recurrence pattern for the restart schedule. In this example, the restart will occur weekly on a Sunday at 3:30 AM. Click Next.
  5. In the Notification dialog box, you can set up reminders and notifications to be sent to you before the recycle schedule starts. Click Next.
  6. In the Services Order dialog box, select the Parallel sequence type.
    For Parallel sequence, all services in the schedule will go down and restart in parallel at the time you designated in the Time dialog box. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to set the order in which the services will be recycled.
  7. Click Save & Close to save the new schedule.
  8. To add services to your newly created schedule, in the left navigation, click Environment. On the ribbon, ensure that the Grid layout is selected by clicking the Group Services By drop down.
  9. Review the information in the Environment workspace.
  10. To assign an individual service to a schedule, right click the service and select Assign Primary Schedule. To assign all services to a schedule, hold down the CTRL key, click on all the services, right click and select Assign Primary Schedule.
  11. In the Assign Schedule dialog box, click Weekly Scheduled Restart and click Next.
  12. Click Save & Close.
  13. To edit an existing schedule, right click the schedule and select Edit.
  14. To enable a schedule, right click the schedule and select Enable.
    By default, all schedules are disabled.
  15. To remove individual services from a schedule, click the schedule to select it. In the Services bottom pane, right click a service and select Unassign.
  16. To close the workspace, click the X in the Restart Schedules bottom tab.
