Run the Installation

There are two common practices for EagleML and MC2 installation:

  • EagleML / EagleML-without-overlays

  • EagleML / EagleML-without-overlays + MC2

For both types of deployment, either fresh install or upgrade, the EagleInstaller should always deploy first and be kept in sync with the deployed components.

Pre-Installation Checklist

Following is a checklist to examine prior running any installation:

  1. Read the release notes for the related release version if any.

  2. Stop any alert triggers, manually or automatically, that restarting of any "starweb" processes if any.

  3. Disable the purge rules, which clean up release impacted folders, if any. The following folders and sub-folders are used by the installer and should not be purged during the installation:

estar/tpe/data/msgcenter/*

estar/tpe/data/msgcenter/cmw/*

estar/tpe/data/msgcenter/cmw_staging_folder/*

Post-Installation Checklist

Following is a checklist to examine after running any installation:

  1. Restore any alert triggers monitoring to "starweb" processes if any.

  2. Enable the purge rules disabled in the Pre-Installation steps.

  3. For v17 it is necessary to configure ReST and SOAP endpoints: Configure MC2 SOAP and REST endpoints
