Review Default Roles and Permissions

The following table lists default User Administration roles and permissions provided by Eagle. Note that if the role information is stored in a language other than English, the role will be displayed in that language, provided the appropriate localization settings have been defined.

Automation Center

AUTOMATION CENTER ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to the Events, Jobs, Schedule, and Monitor areas of the Automation Desk.


AUTOMATION CENTER VIEW ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to the Events, Jobs, Schedule, and Monitor areas of the Automation Desk.


EXCEPTIONS ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to Action Rules, Exception Rights, Processing Rules, and Workflow Assignment.


EXCEPTIONS USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to Exception Rights.


MESSAGE CENTER ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to Message Streams management and monitoring.


MESSAGE CENTER USER ROLE

Provides permissions for Message Stream CRUD operations and processing actions and provides view-only permissions for Message Streams in the Automation Center's Message Streams Monitor.


MESSAGE CENTER VIEW ONLY ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to Message Streams.


SLA MANAGEMENT ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to the SLAs, SLA Groups, KPIs, and KPI Attributes areas of SLA Management.


SLA MANAGEMENT VIEW ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to the SLAs, SLA Groups, KPIs, and KPI Attributes areas of SLA Management.

Classic Portfolio Data Center

PORTFOLIO DATA ADMIN ROLE

Provides full access to Classic Portfolio Data Center.


PORTFOLIO DATA USER ROLE

Provides access to all Classic Portfolio Data Center panels, but has no access permissions to modules such as ACM, Global Process, and Workflow.

Common Center

CDC ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to both the Errors module and Inventory of Tables module that are accessible via Reference Data Center and System Management Center.


CDC USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to both the Errors module and Inventory of Tables module that are accessible via Reference Data Center and System Management Center.

ETL Center

ETL ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to the navigation tree links and Classic modules (Data Vendor Console, Batch Uploader, Global Process Center, Message Center Editor, Message Center Console, and Scheduler).


ETL USER ROLE

Provides full permissions to the navigation tree links, but has no permissions to launch Classic modules.

Language Translation Center

TRANSLATION ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to Language Translation Center.


TRANSLATION USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to Language Translation Center

Market Data Center

MARKET DATA ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to all market data tools such as SRM, Pricing Center, Corporate Action Viewer, and panels to maintain/view market data.


MARKET DATA USER ROLE

Provides permissions to panels only to maintain/view market data.

Metadata Center

MDC ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to the General, Collector, and Snapshot settings in the Metadata Viewer.


MDC ANALYSIS ROLE

Provides full permissions only for Snapshot settings in the Metadata Viewer.


MDC USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions for the General, Collector, and Snapshot settings in the Metadata Viewer.

Migration Wizard

MIGRATION ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to the Export and Import areas of the Migration Desk.


MIGRATION USER ROLE

Provides full permissions to the Export and Import areas of the Migration Desk.

Performance Center

PERFORMANCE ADMIN ROLE

Provides permissions for the Data Quality Monitor, Commit Journal, and Disclosures, as follows:

  • Data Quality Monitor. Provides permissions to view and maintain Data Quality Monitor validations, rules, and assignments of Data Quality rules to validations, validations to Data Quality rules, and assignments of Data Quality rules to entities and entity lists.
  • Disclosures. Provides permissions to view and maintain disclosures and assignments of disclosures to entities and entity lists.
  • Commit Journal. Provides permissions to view details, run, and view calculation results. You can also perform maintenance functions including edit, delete, copy, create new, transfer ownership, publish, and rename. Additional permissions include performing status updates via the Approval Wizard and scrubbing of performance calculation results.


PERFORMANCE ANALYST ROLE

Provides permissions for the Data Quality Monitor, Commit Journal, and Disclosures, as follows:

  • Data Quality Monitor. Provides permissions to view Data Quality Monitor validations, rules, assignments of Data Quality rules to validations, and validations to Data Quality rules. You can also maintain assignments of Data Quality rules to entities and entity lists.
  • Disclosures. Provides permissions to view disclosures and maintain assignments of disclosures to entities and entity lists.
  • Commit Journal. Provides permissions to view details, run, and view calculation results as well as permission to perform status updates via the Approval Wizard.


PERFORMANCE USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions for the Data Quality Monitor, Commit Journal, and Disclosures, as follows:

  • Data Quality Monitor. Provides permissions to view Data Quality Monitor validations, rules, and assignments of Data Quality rules to validations, validations to Data Quality rules, and assignments of Data Quality rules to entities and entity lists.

Reference Data Center

RDC ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions for the Setup and Reference Desk areas of Reference Data Center.


RDC ANALYST ROLE

Provides analyst specific permissions for the Setup and Reference Desk areas of Reference Data Center and restricts maintenance of information and security detail authorization.


RDC END USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions for the Setup and Reference Desk areas of Reference Data Center and restricts security data manipulation.


RDC MANAGER ROLE

Provides nearly full permissions for the Setup and Reference Desk areas of Reference Data Center and restricts the maintenance of system settings.

Reporting Center

REPORTING ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions to Reporting Center.


REPORTING USER ROLE

Provides view-only permissions to Reporting Center.

System Management Center

SYS SYSTEM ADMIN ROLE

Provides full permissions for all activity in the Environment, Diagnostics, and System Settings areas of System Management Center.


SYS CONFIGURATION ADMIN ROLE

Provides nearly full permissions for activities in the Environment, Diagnostics, and System Settings areas of System Management Center.


SYS TECH SUPPORT ROLE

Provides full permissions in the Diagnostics area of System Management Center. Provides view-only permissions to information in the Environment and System Settings areas to assist with troubleshooting.


IMPORTANT NOTE: The Environment, Diagnostics, and System Settings areas of System Management Center are reserved for System Administrators. Access and permissions for these areas are controlled by System Management Center roles. Typical users will not have System Management Center roles assigned and will not be able to see or access these areas.
