Publish Performance Reports

You can use Eagle's analysis and reporting tools to communicate performance information to internal and external audiences. Eagle Performance includes standard reports as part of the Performance Toolkit, and lets you create customized reports. You can create OLAP drill down reports, presentation-quality Advanced Reports, and/or Portal views that use information stored in Eagle's data warehouse or in Eagle's Data Mart.
You can distribute Performance reports in one or more ways, including:

  • Printer. You can send reports directly to a printer.

  • File. You can save reports as a file with a range of available output formats.

  • E-mail. You can send report output to one or more e-mail contacts in a range of formats.

  • Portal. You can distribute reports through the Eagle Portal for distribution to the Web.

Eagle Portal allows business users with Internet access to retrieve and distribute information tailored to their needs. Portal administrators can set up personalized views with queries or reports ready for business users to submit, and can send reports to a business user's Inbox on a regular basis. For example, portfolio managers can use Portal to get performance returns for their analysis of fund versus benchmark, back office staff can use Portal for auditing and control purposes, and client services can use Portal to provide customer support to their clients when they call in with questions about their accounts.

Four Portal views are available within the Portal to provide distribution of performance information in a business user-friendly manner. You can run these preformatted views individually or together in dashboards. In addition, you can expose any custom "SQL View" in the same manner to retrieve additional data, customize calculations, and so on, and you can chart all results.

The exact report output formats you can select vary. You can save OLAP reports using a comma or tab separated delimiter file, an Excel format, proprietary Eagle formats, and can additionally select HTML as a format for e-mail distribution. For Advanced Reports that contain complex charts or graphics, you can also specify an Adobe PDF output format. And you can distribute reports to FTP sites.
