About Custom Benchmarks, Sub-Portfolios, and Aggregates

All of the index loading approaches described below support the (optional) use of custom benchmarks. Some support the use of sub-portfolios and aggregates.
Custom Benchmarks
When you set up custom benchmarks, you can:
Manually use the Entity Maintenance windows to define the custom benchmark construction. For more information, see Maintain Custom Benchmarks.
Assign the custom benchmark as benchmark for another entity. For more information, see Assign Benchmarks to Entities.
Run the Custom Index Entity Build process to define custom benchmark returns and related performance data. For more information, see Build Custom Benchmarks.
Sub-Portfolios and Aggregates
When you set up sub-portfolios, you can:
Manually use the Entity Maintenance windows to define the sub-portfolio or aggregate construction.
Assign the sub-portfolio or aggregate as a benchmark for another entity. For more information, see Assign Benchmarks to Entities.
Run the Entity Build process to populate the holding tables for Sub-portfolio and Aggregate type entities.
