Type Options

Complete the following options on the Advanced Report Options dialog box.

Option

Description

Code

All Codes are created in the ETL Center. If you select the Code option, you must also select the Code to associate with the Code Option. When an Advanced Report with a Code Option runs, you must select one or more Code Values for the Option. Note that the available code values are those stored under the Eagle PACE interface. For example, an Advanced Report that retrieves trade data can include a Code Option that specifies a transaction type to include in the report. You select the transaction type value in the Advanced Report Profile and then submit the report.

Date

This option type requires a date to be entered at runtime.

Number

This option type requires a numeric value at runtime.

String

This option type requires a text string at runtime. If you create an option type of Text, you must enter the maximum number of characters the Option value can contain in the Size field. An option created with no size specified cannot accept a value in the Advanced Report Profile. A text option may be implemented, for example, to allow the user to change the title or footnote of a report at runtime.

Color

Select to set a custom color. When you select Color in the Default Value field, as described in In the Default Value, the Color dialog box appears.

Select a color and click OK. The selected color is set as the default value for that color code.

Font

Select to set a custom font. When you select Font in the Default Value field, as described in In the Default Value, the Font dialog box appears,

Select a font, font style and size, and click OK.

File Type

The File Type options allows you to save any type of image, or a file in any format. When you select File Type, the Open File dialog box appears.

Select a file from your PC or a network location. You can save any type of image file, or any type of file format. The file you select can be in any location. It does not have to be on the server when the report is run. After selecting the file, click Open.
