Save Data to the Core Transfers View
In the Ledger Item Editor's My Transfers view, you can save your edits to the ledger transfer profile. Saving a ledger transfer profile enables the custom ledger transfer profile you edited to appear in the Core Transfers view so that you can use the ledger transfer profile updates in the year end closeout process. You save a ledger transfer profile only after you complete your edits.Â
To save data for the ledger transfer profile:
In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup > Ledger > Ledger Profiles > Ledger Item Editor.
You see the Ledger Item Editor workspace, with the Core Ledger view displayed by default.ÂIn the View area, click My Transfers.Â
You see the Current User DB Ledger Transfers Editor page. The left grid shows the transfer category for the target account to which you are transferring the ledger balances, along with the offset account. The right grid shows the source accounts to close out at year end for the selected transfer category/target account row.ÂOn the Ledger Item Editor tab, in the Common group, click Save Data.Â
You see a Confirmation box that allows you to confirm whether you want to save the ledger transfer profile.Click Yes.Â
You see the Select engine box.ÂSelect the engine.
For example, select a Batch or Tran engine.Click OK to apply the selected engine.Â
If the Save completes successfully, you see the ledger transfer profile in the Core Transfers view. The data you saved appears in the Transfer Category/Target Account/Offset Account area, and reflects the editing changes you made in the My Transfer view. Otherwise, if the Save does not complete successfully, you see an Error box that describes the reason for the error, and the edits do not appear in the Core Transfers view.Â
After you save a custom ledger transfer profile, ensure you refresh the cache memory. Changes made to the ledger transfer profile are not available until you stop and restart the engine on which you saved the profile.Â
