Reset Scheduled Jobs

In the Monitor workspace, Reset can be used to rerun scheduled jobs with all the original schedule options and dependencies, provided the time is still within the schedule's run time.

The Reset from Last Failure option is only available when resetting scheduled jobs. For example, a job consists of three events running sequentially. If the first event ran and completed successfully but the second event failed, you can select the Reset from Last Failure option to not rerun the entire job, but start where the job failed. In this example, the job will start at the second event.

To reset scheduled jobs:

  1. In Automation Desk, in the left navigation pane, click Monitor >Jobs/Events.
    You see the Monitor Workspace.

  2. Click the double arrow to the right of the workspace to open the Search dialog box. To view all processes (completed and waiting), click to select Effective Date and Time Interval. Select Job as the Event type. Click Search.

  3. To reset a failed job from the beginning, click to select the job,  and then from the right-click menu, select Reset and select Entire Event.
Note that you can also reset scheduled jobs that ran successfully to completion, but processed a wrong file, for example. Provided the time is still within the schedule's run time window, you can locate the correct file and reset the job

  4. Click OK in both confirmation dialog boxes.

  5. Review the summary information and the timestamp in the Monitor workspace for the reset job.

  6. Click the small blue arrow in the left bottom pane to expand the records for the original job run and for the reset run. To view the log for each run, click the row in the left bottom pane and click Log or Download Log on the ribbon.
