Migrate an Event
Migration Wizard is a migration tool that enables users to migrate events, jobs, schedules, and SLAs, individually or collectively from one environment to another. Users can choose individual components to place in a Migration Cart and migrate or the entire cart from one environment to another.
To migrate an event:
In Automation Desk, click Events in the left navigation.
Click the Find button to find an event in the workspace or search for an event based on specific criteria.
Click to select the event you wish to migrate and click Migrate button.
4. There are two parts to Migration, Import where you import events to another environment and Export where you export from one environment.
Working With the Migration Cart
This section describes how to add and remove items from the Migration Cart, and how to view cart contents.
To add an event to the Migration Cart:
In Automation Desk, click Events in the left navigation.
Click to select the event you wish to place in the Migration Cart and click Cart button and select an option to Add to Cart from the dropdown.
By default, the Migration Cart appears each time an event is placed in a cart. If a user chooses to add multiple items and not see the cart while making selections, that user can click the X button to hide the cart. To view the cart when it is hidden, click Cart button and select the View Cart option from the menu.
To remove an event from the Migration Cart:
The clear option is available via the Right-Click menu in the Migration Cart window.
The clear option on the Right-Click menu has three options:
Clear the selected Events item - this option removes the item that the user has selected.
Clear all - this option removes all items from the migration cart. Alternatively, users can click on X displayed above the Subject Type to remove all items from the migration cart.
Clear Only Events - this option removes all items within a particular category.
