In previous releases, segment groupings had to be configured, pre-calculated, and committed to the PERFORM database using the Performance Calculation report. Then, the resulting performance model was specified as the grouping for the Performance Analysis report.
Segment groupings can now be specified directly in the Performance Analysis report rule without the pre-calculation and storage of performance model results. This allows for ad-hoc attribution analyses without the storage of pre-computed performance calculation results. See the following figure.

The steps required to set up dynamic performance are detailed in the Dynamic Performance section of Performance Analysis and Reporting. After your returns are specified as dynamic, you specify your grouping directly in the Performance Analysis report rule, rather than in the Performance Calculation report rule. See the following figure.
