Manage Issuer Fields in Reference Data Center Securities

The Issuer field is considered a special field within the Reference Data Center.  You can overwrite the issuer value by entering the Issuer ID directly into the New Value field or by searching for a value from the Select Issuers dialog to populate the field.

To manage issuer fields in Reference Data Center: 

1. In the Edit Securities window, right click on the Overwrite field.
   You see the Overwrite dialog.
2. To overwrite the New Value field with free-form text, enter the Issuer ID in the space provided. Otherwise, click the ellipses next to the drop-down.
   You see the Select Issuers dialog. 
3. Enter part or all of the Issuer ID or Issuer Name in the space provided and then click Search.
   The dialog re-displays with the results of your search.
4. Select the issuer by checking on the corresponding check box. 
5. You can also select the Make this My Default Search by clicking the corresponding checkbox.
6. Click Ok and then click Apply to apply your selection.
   You see the value displayed in the Issuer field.
