There are five main parts of the fund of fund allocation process. They include 1) creating fund of funds processing ID, 2) retrieving staging data, 3) calculating cash flow, 4) calculating fund of funds allocations, and 5) generating pending trades. This section describes the first part of the process, where the system creates the fund of funds processing ID.

In the first part of the fund of funds allocation procedure, the system creates a fund of funds processing ID to associate with the entity and accounting date that it is processing. It does this to ensure that each time the system performs the process, it associates a unique identifier with each execution of the allocation process. If you already executed the process, this step in the process deletes any existing data from each fund of funds allocation processing table (Each associated table has a history table). The system assigns a fund of funds processing ID for the run of the fund of funds allocation process.
