To release an exception:
- In the Portfolio Desk workspace, click the appropriate category in the left navigation.
The Entity Summary workspace opens, displaying the available entities. - Click the View By drop-down list and then select All.
- Complete the required search criteria and then click Search.
Scroll down the list and then select the entity you want to resolve and then click Edit or double-click.
The Edit Entity window opens, displaying the Entity Details tab selected.A red square indicates a failed validation
- Select the exception you want to resolve.
- Click Release Exception.
The Release Exception dialog box opens. - Click the Begin Date and End Date drop-down lists to establish the time frame to release this exception.
- In the Comment text box, enter a comment about the exception release.
- Click the Reason Code drop-down list and then select a reason for the exception release.
- To complete the release of this exception, click Save.
- Close the Edit Security bottom tab to return to the Securities workspace.
