The Prices and FX workspace is the main work area in the Reference Data Center for managing prices and exchange rates. From the workspace you can review and edit gold copy and vendor data, add new gold copy prices, and override and release exceptions.

The Summary section of the workspace allows you to search for prices and exceptions. You can search by the following options:

View Data By : Required. Allows you to search for Gold Copy Prices.

Date: Required. The date on which to filter the prices and exceptions displayed in the search results. Options included Effective (default) and Process.

Gold Copy: Required. Specifies the gold copy source for the name for the price record.

Issue Name: Specifies the issue name of the security.

Security Cross Reference ID: Specifies the security identifier for the cross reference.

Investment Type: Specifies the investment of the security.

Processing Security Type: Specifies the processing security type.

Data Strategy: Specifies the data strategy that governs the security.

Error Code: Displays the error code.


The next section of the Prices workspace displays the results of your query. The fields that you see displayed depend on whether you searched by prices or exceptions.

Price Type:

Target Source:


Code: Displays the exception error code.

Severity: Displays the severity level of the exception. Options include: Warning and Critical.

Error: Describes the exception error.

Business Description: Describes what caused the error.

Resolution: Explains how to resolve the error.

Source: Displays the vendor source of the data.

Primary Exchange: Displays the primary exchange.


The Details section displays details on exceptions, vendor data and gold copy data.
