In Eagle Accounting, there are two classes of entities, which are collections of securities: basic entities and master fund entities. Basic entities represent a collection of securities, such as a portfolio or an account. Master fund entities represent mutual funds and other types of funds that involve capital stock and net asset value (NAV) processing. This guide describes how to create and maintain basic entities for use in Eagle Accounting. It explains how to configure this class of entities to meet your accounting objectives, and describes how to set up entities to work with Eagle’s workflow, operations, and reporting tools.
