In Eagle Accounting, there are two classes of entities, which are collections of securities:

  • basic entities – entities that represent a collection of securities, such as a portfolio or an account.
  • master funds – entities that represent mutual funds, money market funds, benchmarks,

institutional and trustee accounts, managed/unmanaged funds, and offshore accounts. This guide describes how to create and maintain master fund entities for use in Eagle Accounting. It explains how to configure this class of entities to meet your accounting objectives, and describes how to set up entities to work with Eagle’s workflow, operations, and reporting tools. The terms mutual funds and master funds will be used interchangeably for this class of entities.
