The system provides the following security cross reference identifier types:

  • BBID
  • SEDOL
  • CINS
  • SWAPID
  • COMMON
  • TICKER
  • CUSIP
  • UPI
  • INTERNAL
  • USI
  • ISIN
  • VALOREN
  • RED
  • WPK
  • RIC

In the marketplace, multiple securities can share common security identifiers across different exchanges. The initial installation of the system requires unique security cross reference identifiers. However, you can modify this requirement using the Add Security Cross Reference Configuration panel.

Create Duplicate Primary Asset ID Types

To create duplicate primary asset identifiers:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.
  2. Enter Issue Viewer in the Start Search text box.
  3. Click the Issue Viewer link to access the tool.
    You see the Issue Viewer tool.
  4. In the left navigation, double click Security Cross Reference and Add Security Cross Reference.
    You see the Add Security Cross Reference panel.
  5. Complete the options on the Add Security Cross Reference Configuration panel.
    To allow duplicate primary asset identifiers for multi-leg swaps, use the following values on the Add Security Cross Reference Configuration panel:
    –  In the Xreference Security ID Type field, select the Primary Asset ID Type that you want to use for the multi-leg swap.
    –  In the Xref Qualifier field, select Duplicate.
    –  In the Investment Type field, select DERV (Swaps).
  6. Click Submit.

Create Duplicate Tickers

To create duplicate tickers:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.
  2. Enter Issue Viewer in the Start Search text box.
  3. Click the Issue Viewer link to access the tool.
    You see the Issue Viewer tool.
  4. In the left navigation, double click Security Cross Reference and Add Security Cross Reference.
    You see the Add Security Cross Reference panel.
  5. Complete the options on the Add Security Cross Reference Configuration panel.
    To allow duplicate tickers for equities under different exchanges, use the following values on the Add Security Cross Reference Configuration panel:
    –  In the Xreference Security ID Type field, select TICKER.
    –  In the Xref Qualifier field, select Exchange.
    –  In the Investment Type field, select EQ EQUITY.
  6. Click Submit.

Specifies the security identifier type for which you want to allow duplicates.

Xref Qualifier

Qualifies when duplicate security identifier types are allowed. Options include:

  • Currency.
  • Duplicate. Allows two securities to share the same security identifier type without any qualifications.
  • Duplicate Xref Type Per Security.
  • Exchange. Allows two securities to share the same security identifier type if their exchanges are unique.
  • Investment Type.

Investment Type

Specifies the investment type for which to allow a non-unique identifier.
