This topic provides an overview of Corporate Action reports.

Corporate Action Entitlement Report

The Corporate Action Entitlement report displays the corporate action records for a given entity and date range, including corporate actions processed or released after the announcement date and up to the pay date when the settle/pay date is prior to run date.

To create the Corporate Action Entitlement report:

  1. From the Accounting Center window, click Reporting in the left navigation.
  2. Double click Investment AccountingCorporate Actions, and Corporate Action Entitlement.
    You see the Corporate Action Entitlement panel.
  3. Complete the fields on the Corporate Action Entitlement panel.
    NOTE: You can query by sweep date to identify corporate actions that have been canceled/corrected and require manager allocation and voluntary election information.
  4. Click Submit.
    You see the Submit Query dialog box.
  5. Click Advanced Report or Classic Grid Report for the report view you want.
    The report results appear on your desktop for the view selected. You can view the projected corporate actions for one or all securities in an entity, the entity elections, and the pending voluntary corporate actions.

Corporate Action Entitlement Panel Options

Search Criteria

  • Entity ID. Specifies a portfolio, sector portfolio, composite portfolio, or Master Fund by the entity ID of the entity.
  • Entity Name. Specifies a portfolio, sector portfolio, composite portfolio, or Master Fund by name of the entity.
  • Accounting Basis. Specifies the entity accounting basis. For example, USTAX, GAAP, or IFRS.
  • Asset ID Type. Specifies the primary asset ID type of the security. For example, ISIN or CUSIP.
  • Asset ID. Specifies the primary asset ID of the security.
  • Issue name. Specifies the issue name of the security.
  • Report Type. Specifies the type of date for controlling your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Ex Date (Default)
    –  Sweep Date
  • Report Start Date. Specifies the start date for your report results.
  • Report  End Date. Specifies the ending date for your report results.
  • Corporate Action Status. Specifies the status of the corporate action for your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Incomplete
    –  Pending
    –  Released
    –  ALL (Default)
  • Process Indicator. Specifies the corporate action process indicator for your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Processed
    –  Not Processed
    –  Both (Default)
  • Include/Exclude Cancels. Allows you to include cancel events. The default is Exclude.

Selection Criteria

  • Report Filters. Allows you to show/hide additional report filters. The default is No.
  • Advanced Report Options. Allows you to show/hide advanced report, group, sort, and format options. The default is No.
  • Report Filters. You can filter results using other filters.
    Options include:
    –  Client Specific CA ID
    –  Corporate Action Type
    –  Mandatory/Voluntary Indicator (Default is Both)
    –  Long Short
    –  Event Type
    –  Processing Security Type

Corporate Action Activity Report

The Corporate Action Activity report displays the corporate action records for a given entity and date. This report verifies corporate actions posted to a given entity and the impact on cost and pricing.

To create the Corporate Action Activity report:

  1. From the Accounting Center window, click Reporting in the left navigation.
  2. Double click Investment AccountingCorporate Actions, and Corporate Action Activity.
    You see the Corporate Action Activity panel.
  3. Complete the fields on the Corporate Action Activity panel.
  4. Click Submit.
    You see the Submit Query dialog box.
  5. Click Advanced Report or Classic Grid Report for the report view you want.
    The report results appear on your desktop for the view selected. For example, you can view the ending cost (local and base) of stock splits, stock dividends, reverse stock splits, return of capital, and nominal value changes.

Corporate Action Activity Panel Options

A definition of the options on the Corporate Action Activity panel follows.

Search Criteria

  • Entity ID. Specifies a portfolio, sector portfolio, composite portfolio, or Master Fund by the entity ID of the entity.
  • Entity Name. Specifies a portfolio, sector portfolio, composite portfolio, or Master Fund by name of the entity.
  • Accounting Basis. Specifies the entity accounting basis. For example, USTAX, GAAP, or IFRS.
  • Report Type. Specifies the type of date for controlling your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Accounting Date (Default)
    –  Month End Date
    –  Post Date
    –  Settlement Date
    –  Trade Date
  • Report Period. Specifies the time period, date range, or particular date for your report. The time period may be entity specific or security specific, such as fiscal year.
    Options include:
    –  Daily Activity (Default)
    –  Date Range
    –  Fiscal Year to Date
    –  Life to Date
    –  Calendar Year to Date
    –  Inception to Date
    –  Month to Date
  • Report Start Date. Specifies the start date for your report results. The default is first day of the current month. To use this option, you must select Date Range as your report period.
  • Report End Date. Specifies the ending date for your report results. The default is today's date.
  • Include/Exclude Cancels. Allows you to include cancel events. The default is Exclude.
  • Include/Exclude Complex Corporate Actions. Allows you to include complex corporate actions. The default is Exclude.

Selection Criteria

  • Report Filters. Allows you to show/hide additional report and security filters. The default is No.
  • Advanced Report Options. Allows you to show/hide advanced report, group, sort, and format options. The default is No.
  • Filter Security By. Allows you to show/hide additional report filters.
    Options include:
    –  Security Cross Reference (Default). If you select this option the panel unhides the Xref Type and Xref Security ID fields for data entry.
    –  Issue Name. If you select this option, the panel unhides the Issue Name field for data entry.
    –  Primary Asset ID. If you select this option, the panel unhides the Primary Asset ID field for data entry.
  • Other Filters. You can filter results using other filters.
    Options include:
    –  Asset Currency
    –  Long Short
    –  Event Type
    –  Transaction Type
    –  Investment Type
    –  Security Type
    –  Processing Security Type

Corporate Actions Not Processed by Process Center Report

The Corporate Actions Not Processed by Process Center report displays the corporate action records for a client specific corporate action ID that are not processed for a given date range and corporate action status.

To create the Corporate Actions Not Processed by Process Center report:

  1. From the Accounting Center window, click Reporting in the left navigation.
  2. Double click Investment AccountingCorporate Actions, and Corporate Actions Not Processed by Process Center.
    You see the Corporate Actions Not Processed by Process Center panel.
  3. Complete the fields on the Corporate Actions Not Processed by Process Center panel.
  4. Click Submit.
    You see the Submit Query dialog box.
  5. Click Advanced Report or Classic Grid Report for the report view you want.
    The report results appear on your desktop for the view selected.

  • Client Specific CA ID. Specifies the client specific corporate action ID.

  • Corporate Action Status. Specifies the status of the corporate action for your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Incomplete
    –  Pending
    –  Released
    –  ALL (Default)
  • Process Indicator. Specifies the corporate processing action status for your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Processed
    –  Not Processed
    –  Both (Default)
  • Process Center.  Specifies the Process Center for your report results.
  • Report Start Date. Specifies the start date for your report results.
  • Report End Date. Specifies the ending date for your report results. The default is today's date.

Market Value Test Report

The Market Value Test report displays the change in market value resulting from a corporate action compared to a user specified tolerance.

To create the Market Value Test report:

  1. From the Accounting Center window, click Reporting in the left navigation.
  2. Double click Investment AccountingCorporate Actions, and Market Value Test.
    You see the Market Value Test panel.
  3. Complete the fields on the Market Value Test panel.
  4. Click Submit.
    You see the Submit Query dialog box.
  5. Click Advanced Report or Classic Grid Report for the report view you want.
    The report results appear on your desktop for the view selected.

Market Value Test Panel Options

Search Criteria

  • Client Specific CA ID. Specifies the client specific corporate action ID.
  • Asset ID Type. Specifies the asset id type of the security.
  • Asset ID. Specifies the asset id of the security.
  • Issue Name. Specifies the issue name of the security.
  • Corporate Action Begin Ex Date. Specifies the beginning Ex date for your report results.
  • Corporate Action End Ex Date. Specifies the ending Ex date for your report results.
  • Mandatory/Voluntary Indicator. Indicates whether the corporate action is mandatory, voluntary, or either.
  • Corporate Action Status. Specifies the status of the corporate action for your report results.
    Options include:
    –  Incomplete
    –  Pending
    –  Released
    –  All
  • Corporate Action Type. Specifies the type of corporate action. For example, Exchange Offer or Dividend Reinvestment.
  • Corporate Action Event Type. Specifies the type of corporate action. For example, Non Taxable Exchange Offer or Dividend Reinvestment.
  • Pass/Fail Indicator. Optional field. Specifies the corporate action processing status to filter your report results. Available options include Pass and Fail.
  • Tolerance Percentage. Specifies the tolerance percentage used for the market value test. Default value is 5.0000 percent.
