You can perform partial validations at the security level for Benchmark/Not Held securities, as benchmark vendors do not provide all the SMF attribute information. When you set the Validation Process flag to Apply Benchmark Validations Only on the Create New screen, or as an override in the Details screen, the system partially validates the security and releases it with a release status of N (Released, not for Trading). If you set the process flag to Y, (Apply All Validations), the security goes through the normal validation process and release process. If you set the validation process flag to No, the security does not get validated and is released with a release status of N (Released, not for Trading).
You must enable the Apply this Validation for Benchmark Securities option on the Validation Define page for any validations to be applied for Benchmark /Not Held securities. This option was enabled for core validations ES0000009, ES0000010, ES0000015, ES0000016, ES0000019 and ES0000023.
If the security needs to be partially validated after the load process, then the security_master.validation_process_flag must be updated with P during the load process. In addition, the Validation Process Flag must be added for any custom data strategies to be able to take advantage of this process.
See Manage Validations to apply the validation.
