In the Post Class Allocation Entries panel, you can manually post share class allocations to the ledger. You need to trigger a share class allocation if you manually add, change, and delete share class information.

WRITERS NOTE: why does menu say Allocations (Changed)?

To post class allocation entries:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Fund Accounting Allocations Allocations (Changed) > Post Class Allocation Entries..
You see the Post Class Allocation Entries panel.

  2. In the Entity ID or Entity Name fields, specify the unique alphanumeric identifier or the abbreviated name of the mutual fund entity you want to process. Otherwise, you can leave the fields blank to process all entities.

  3. In the Effective Date field, specify the effective date of the class allocation.

  4. If you select an entity that uses intraday NAV processing, you can specify the NAV Sequence Name value to processing.
The Nav Process Rule field displays the intraday NAV processing rule assigned to the master fund. The Nav Sequence Number field displays the numeric sequence associated with the Nav Sequence Name you select. For more information about posting class allocations when you use intraday NAV processing, see https://eagledocs.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/resumedraft.action?draftId=1710555157.

  5. Click Submit.
The system posts the share class allocations to the ledger.
