You can set alerts for files not received in time by setting various file alert settings and configuring alerts in IWS.
You can also configure alerts in the EJM Monitoring Tool.

Alerts for scheduled and bundle-based workflows are supported in the current version. Each file has a specific number of settings depending on the workflow type and file function.

About File Alert Settings

For Bundle-based Workflows

For the initiating file (the file required to launch the workflow), you can use:

  • Warning Time – time (HH:mm) formatted – to send a warning alert if the file has not arrived by this time.
  • ErrorTime  – time (HH:mm) formatted – to send an error alert if the file has not arrived by specified time.

Example of Configure file alerts in IWS

If file has arrived into the Unpacker shape, all outgoing files will possess only the FileAlert flag (this flag toggles alerts for files). Consequently, if an archive without a file for which alerts are switched on arrives, an alert reporting "file missing" error is sent immediately.

For other files, you can define the following settings:

  • Warning Timeout – time in seconds. If the file has not arrived in defined period of time counted from workflow start, a warning alert is sent that the file has not arrived yet.
  • Error timeout – time in seconds. If the file has not arrived in defined period of time counted from the workflow start, a warning alert is sent that the file is missing.

For Scheduled Workflows

For files arriving into the workflow across NDFA (Data Artifacts without incoming connections), you can use:

  • Warning Time – time (HH:mm) formatted – to send a warning alert if the file has not arrived by this time.
  • ErrorTime  – time (HH:mm) formatted – to send an error alert if the file has not arrived by specified time.

Example of Configure file alerts in IWS

For files generated in the workflow process with file mask defined (Data Artifact with incoming mapping), you can use the following settings:

  • Warning Timeout – time in seconds. If the file has not arrived in defined period of time counted from workflow start, a warning alert is sent that the file has not arrived yet.
  • Error timeout – time in seconds. If the file has not arrived in defined period of time counted from the workflow start, a warning alert is sent that the file is missing.

For Data Artifacts without Masks

Data artifacts without masks cannot use alerts. These files are generated within the workflow process and passed from one subprocess to another as is without delay.
