This section assumes that you previously set up each master fund to indicate that it is a closed-end fund eligible for preferred shares processing. When you do so, the system sets the master fund's Daily Distribution Method option to Preferred Stock Distributions. For more information, see Set Up Entities for Preferred Shares Processing.
It also assumes you set up the share series codes used to book preferred shares transactions and distributions, if you wanted to create your own custom values for the series identifier. For more information, see Manage Preferred Share Series Code Values.
Before you can accrue preferred series distributions, you must set up preferred shares distribution rates for master funds eligible for preferred shares processing.
