The Missing Composite Data report displays only composites with missing performance and/or holdings data over the user defined date range or as of date. See the following figure. The report allows you to specify performance and holdings fields and search for NULL values for those fields for the selected composites. The report displays the Composite ID and Composite Name of composites that have missing data, along with the effective dates for NULL values for the selected performance and/or holdings fields, and restricts the results based on criteria specified in the Configure parameters. For each composite shown, it displays the effective date for any date in the date range where at least one field selected in the view is missing composite data, and indicates which fields are missing data for that effective date.

The report includes columns for Composite ID, Composite Name, and each specified performance and/or holdings field. For general information about running and using the report, see Use the Composite Monitor.

Missing Composite Data Report

The following table describes the report parameters you can select.

Option

Description

Date Range

You can submit the report for a user defined date range. Options include:

  • Between. This option allows you to determine if any NULL records exist for any date (either monthly or daily) for the composite within the date range.
  • From the Date Rule. You can further customize the date by using a Date Range rule.

Entities

The Entity Selector allows you to run the report for specific Performance Composites (ACOM), a list of Performance Composites, or all Performance Composites (by leaving the selector empty).

Fields

You must use the Field Selection dialog box to add one or more additional fields as report columns. You can change the order of report columns.
The report can include performance and holdings fields for the selected composites. The Field Selection dialog box identifies default fields with a blue field icon.

The following example demonstrates how the report uses the Configure settings in combination with the report parameters to generate the report results. Assume that you use the Configure link to define the Composite Monitor configuration settings shown in the following figure.

Configure Dialog Box - Missing Composite Data Report Example

Next, assume you are using the report parameters similar to those shown in the following figure.

Missing Composite Data Report - Report Parameters Example

Because you left the Entities report parameter empty, the query searches under the JK Source Rule Source and the eglPrfPc-Total Level Model Performance Model for any NULL values with a Monthly Frequency in the Preliminary Performance Status stored in the database for eglPrf-GrossEndMktVal and/or eglPrf-GrossReturn for any month between 8/31/2008 - 9/30/2008.

The report compiles and displays the list of composites where at least one PERF_SUMMARY record is NULL for either eglPrf-GrossEndMktVal and/or eglPrf-GrossReturn for 8/31/2008 or 9/30/2008. The report does not include entities that have a Termination Date set prior to the date range selected in the report parameters.
