You can assign users and/or groups permissions to access system functions related to performance calculations. For general information, see the User Manager User Guide.
Edit Performance Data
You can grant a user or group permission to edit performance data using the User Administration function for performance calculation and auditing. The options, shown in the following figure, are:
Edit Transaction Activity. Cash Activity Data Maintenance.
Edit Positions. Positions Data Maintenance.
Edit Calculated Returns. Performance Return Data Maintenance.

MPC Function User Security
Access to the MPC is provided through User Administration in PACE. By default, users do not have access to the MPC. The Performance Utilities section of the PACE main menu contains a link to the Multiperiod Performance Calculator main window. This link is only displayed when you have access to the MPC, as shown in the following figure. Clicking the link opens the MPC windows.
Performance Utilities Menu Any user needing access to the MPC must be granted the security option, Access the Multiperiod Performance Calculator. This security option is found under the category Performance Calculation and Auditing in user security. See the following figure.

Commit Returns to the Database
There are three options for committing returns to the database: Commit Preliminary Returns, Commit Custom Returns, and Commit Final Returns.
To Commit Returns to the Database:
In User Administration, clickPACE Roles from the left pane. You see the PACE Roles workspace.
InRoles Details,select one of the Commit Returns options.

Commit Preliminary Returns to the Database
When selected, this permission allows you to Commit returns with a status of Preliminary to the Performance database. This pertains to any General Reporting submit of a performance calculation including the standard Submit, the Submit with Override, and the Client-Side Commit. If a user without this permission attempts a commit a Preliminary, Custom, or Final Status the commit will fail with the Message "Insufficient Privileges".
Commit Custom Returns to the Database
When selected, this permission allows you to Commit returns with Custom statuses and Preliminary status to the Performance database. This pertains to any General Reporting submit of a performance calculation including the standard Submit, the Submit with Override, and the Client-Side Commit. If a user without this permission attempts a commit a return with a Custom Status or Final Status the commit will fail with the Message "Insufficient Privileges".
Commit Final Returns to the Database
When selected this permission allows you to Commit returns with Final Status, Custom statuses, and Preliminary status to the Performance database. In other words all statuses. This pertains to any General Reporting submit of a performance calculation including the standard Submit, the Submit with Override, and the Client-Side Commit.
