You can customize the search criteria and search options, use powerful search date macros to quickly locate message streams that ran within a specified period of time, and manage message stream status searches.


Search for Lookbacks by Summary Status

You can select a processing status displayed in the Lookbacks Summary pane to search for the lookbacks with that status. You can search for loopbacks for each status associated with a submit time interval or processing duration. The time interval can reflect the Last Hours or Date submitted. The processing duration specifies the length of time the process took to complete.

To search for loopbacks by summary status:

  1. From the Accounting Desk, click Global Process in the left navigation.
    You see the Global Process workspace. At the top is the Loopback Summary pane. You see the number of loopbacks for each processing status associated with the submit time interval and the processing duration.

  2. In the Loopbacks Summary pane,  in the Total Generated area, click the PendingProcessedRejected, or Overridden processing status name to view loopbacks with that status that were submitted as of the time interval displayed in the pane heading,  
    By default the time interval is as of Last 24 hours.
  3. In the Loopbacks Summary pane,  in the Processing Duration area, click the PendingProcessedRejected, or Overridden processing status name to view loopbacks with that status that have the processing duration displayed in the section heading.
    By default the processing duration is Less 10 min. 

After you click a processing status associated with a specified submit time interval or processing duration, you see the the loopbacks that meet those criteria in the Loopbacks panel.

  1. , click one of the  Click the Search drop down on the ribbon and select New SearchLast Search, or any saved search. Or, click the double arrow to the right of the workspace to expand the Search Detail pane.
    You see the Search Detail pane.
  2. Complete the search criteria.
    You can search by default on settlement date date range, Primary Asset ID, Cash Event Type, Cash Category, Accounting Basis, Cash Account Number, Cash Currency, Base Currency, Invalid Bank Wires, Record Type, and Entity ID. You can click the Add Search Criteria icon to manage your choice of search criteria.
  3. Click the Search button in the Search Detail pane.
    You see the search results based on the criteria you selected. You see open receivables/payables in the upper pane and bank settlements in the center pane. For partially matched bank settlements, you can use the values in the Orig Value, Settle Amt S, and Net Amount Local columns to identify the original amount of the bank settlement, the amount previously settled, and the amount available for matching.
  4. In the open receivables/payables pane, you can click the arrow to the left of the row to expand and collapse it.
    Each top level open receivable/payable row can include multiple receivables/payables rolled up within an entity and across entities. All the receivables/payables within the row share the same cash account, security, date, and cash event (disbursement, receipt).
  5. You can manage how data displays for open receivables/payables and bank settlements using the options in the Grid tab.
    For example, you can use the Group by option to group open receivables/payables by security and transaction code.

After you search for and view unmatched cash, you can select open receivables/payables and bank settlements for matching, and then fully or partially match open receivables/payables and bank settlements. Or you can research the open receivables/payables and bank settlements that appear in the search results.

Change Lookbacks Summary Information

The Lookbacks Summary pane displays metrics for jobs that were processed and rejected in the last 24 hours by default. You can change the timeframe used to generate these metrics.

To change the Lookbacks Summary information:

  1. From the Accounting Desk workspace, click Global Process in the left navigation, 
    You see the Global Process workspace.
  2. In the Lookbacks Summary pane, click the icon to the right of the pane name. 
    You see the Lookback Summary Settings dialog box. By default, Last 24 hours is selected.
  3. Do one of the following:
    - Select Specific Date and choose a different date. 
    - Select Last ### hours and enter the number of hours.
  4. Select the Use Sampling check box to display approximate results for the Lookback Summary pane metrics. Otherwise, clear the check box to display exact results. 
    You can choose this option to increase performance time when the metrics apply to a large amount of data.
  5. Click OK.
    You see the date or number of hours you selected in the pane name. The metrics change to reflect your settings.

Search for Loopbacks

In the Global Process workspace, you can use the Loopbacks Search Defail pane to specify your search critiera used to monitor loopbacks. The Loopbacks pane displays the status of each job that meets your criteria. 

To search for loopbacks:

  1. From the Accounting Desk workspace, click Global Process in the left navigation, 
    You see the Global Process workspace. 
  2. Review the current search criteria displayed at the top of the Loopbacks pane. 
  3. Click Search, and then click New SearchLast Search, or any saved search. Or, cick the Down Chevron to the right of the Loopbacks pane. 
    You see the Search Details pane.
  4. Complete the required search criteria. 
    You can search using the default criteria. Or you can click Add Search Criteria to manage your choice of search criteria.
  5. Click the Search button in the Search Details pane.
    In the Lookbacks pane, you see the search results based on the criteria you selected.
