To backup current package content:

1. Open Migration Wizard.

2. In the top menu,

1. click Export.
   This opens a new tab along the bottom of the screen.

1. Under Output File,

1. click Browse and navigate to the location where you want to save the export file.

1. Set File name

1.  to include the word "backup," the release, and the date. For example, RDC_All_Data_Strategies_Backup_V17_R2_34_2022_05_18.egl.

1. Under Available components

1.  on the right side of the screen, navigate

1. to Reference Data Center

1.  > Data Strategies.
   This displays a list of all data strategies in bottom-right quadrant of the screen.

2. Click one of the data strategies, then

1. type CTRL+A

1.  on your keyboard to select all.

2. Right-click and

1. select Add. 
   The data strategies are added to the list of components on the left side of the screen.

1. Click Export and wait for the Export Completed popup.

Task Two - Download Core Package Content

After backing up your current package content using Migration Wizard, the next step is to download core package content in System Management Center.

To download core package content:

1. Open System Management Center.

2. In the left navigation pane,

1. click Installations.

2. Double-click the row

1. with Type = Application.

2. Click the Files

1. Explorer tab and navigate to data > migration > import > completed > EAGLEADMIN.

2. Locate RDC_All_Data_Strategies.egl, right-click, and

1. select Download.

2. Include the version in the file name.  For example, RDC_All_Data_Strategies_V17_R2_34.egl.

Task Three - Import Package Content

The final step in the process is to import the package content using Migration Wizard.

To import package content:

1. Open Migration Wizard and

1. in the top menu,

1. click Import.
   This opens a new tab along the bottom of the screen.

2. In the top-right corner,

1. click Browse.

2. Select the core package content file you downloaded in Task Two - Download Core Package Content.
   Once the file loads, you see a list of all RDC components.

1. Under Components, click the hamburger button (three horizontal lines), then click Collapse all

1.  to minimize the component details.
   This shows the Duplicate Handling

1.  setting for each component, which defaults

1. to Use the existing item in the destination (refer to About Package Content Migration for details about the different options).

1. Leave Duplicate Handling

1.  as Use the existing item in the destination for the following components:
   - Sources
   - Star Business Calendar
   - Date Rules 
   - Source Rules 
   - Fields on Authorization

2. Select the

1. appropriate Duplicate Handling

1.  settings for the remaining components:
    - To revert to the core package content and wipe out all local changes,

1. select Overwrite the existing item

1.  in the destination for all remaining components.
    - To maintain the local data strategy and validation changes,

1. set Validations and Data Strategies

1.  to Reconcile with the existing

1. item in the destination, then

1. select Overwrite the   

1. existing item in the destination

1. or Use the existing item

1.  in the destination for all remaining components depending on which other local changes you want to maintain.

1. Click Import.
   The system displays the Import Completed dialog box when the import is complete.
